In 2013, I was President of Tigard Little League (TLL), and I was notified by the City of Tigard that the agreement that had been in place between the city, TLL, and Southside Soccer Club (SSC) since 1998 was going to be terminated. In researching the origins of the agreement, I contacted Bill Monahan, who had been directly involved in the 1998 agreement. He helped me to understand the original intent of the agreement and, with Dave Nicoli, came to support me and the leagues in front of City Council. Ultimately, in 2015, City Council finally voted to uphold the agreement, which allowed the fees all TLL and SSC families were paying to remain the same - it was an outcome that would not have happened without Bill's knowledge and willingness to get involved.”
